My name is Yan Zhovtis. I was born in 1958 in Soviet Ukraine.
At age of 14 I was accepted to Odessa art school where I was taught figure drawing, painting, sculpting and art history.
In 1977 I immigrated from USSR to USA and changed my career path to more secure money-making opportunities.
However, upon retirement I have dedicated myself to paintings and drawings once again.
