My story begins in 1954 in Boyarka, a small town in the Kyiv Region at the time. My artistic journey truly took shape at the Ukrainian Polygraphic Institute, where I studied from 1976 to 1980 under the mentorship of Y. Charyshnikov. If you’d like to get to know me better, or simply stay connected, I warmly invite you to explore and follow me on social media: facebook, instagram, wikipedia. Rimini City Museum, Italy My art is about capturing those special moments — a cherished memory, a summer breeze, or a quiet rainy day — that resonate deeply with you. Each piece I create tells a story, evokes a feeling, and brings warmth and character to your home. In my etchings, you will discover urban scenes, mysterious figures, and dancing shadows, inspired by the worlds of German Romantic literature and Expressionist cinema. The approach I choose, with its sharp lines and contrasts, creates a reality that is both familiar and intriguingly unique. Over two decades ago, I began working with oil paints, introducing vibrant colors and bold brushstrokes into my art. These paintings celebrate life, offering a lively and optimistic counterpoint to the introspective nature of my etchings. My art is cherished in private collections worldwide, from Europe and the USA to Japan, the UAE, Taiwan, Israel, and beyond. Here, I invite you to explore my gallery on my personal website balenok.com and connect with me through the shared language of art.balenok.com
