« Who can pretend knowing what goes on in someone else’s mind? »

I Will always be fascinated by the emotions people feel while admiring my paintings that changes consiredably from one to another, depending on everyone’s expérience and leaving place to an infinite range of emotions. Although I can do portraits on demand, I usually create characters larger then nature coming directly from my imagination by giving them a soul, a personality and sensitivity that will give you strong emotions since you will feel they are alive! However, à large part of my work is close to abstraction since the technique I use, with oil and spatulas, had no details.

Early on Andree Roy demonstrated an interest in drawing. As a young adult, she persues her artistic interested by studying Visual Arts, Fashion and Interior Design. She huiles à successfull carter as an Interior Designer. However her passion for drawing remains and she chooses oil painting to express herself in a contemporary figurative style, filles with realism. Since 2009, she won several awards through many national and international exhibitions and you can now find her works in many Private and public collections as well as in many art galleries in Canada and Europe. It is important to mention that Roy’s paintings are not based on photographs, but inspired by the artistes Memories and imagination.
