Rooted in regional Australia, my practice emerges from more
than two decades of creative inquiry shaped by the land, its histories, and the
quiet movements of the Spirit. As a multidisciplinary artist, I work where
traditional and contemporary modalities meet—moving fluidly between acrylic,
oil, ink, watercolour, gouache, and digital processes. Each medium becomes a
vessel, chosen not merely for technique but for its ability to echo the deeper
truths beneath the visible world.
Ink, with its layered lines and patient accumulation, has
become a language of its own in my work. These strata of marks speak of memory,
ancestry, and the unseen realities that shape our lives. In portraits of people
and animals, patterns rise and recede beneath the surface, suggesting the
hidden stories, burdens, and blessings that every soul carries. They are
reminders that nothing in creation stands alone; everything is held within a
larger, God‑breathed tapestry.
My professional path is grounded in a Diploma of Visual
Arts, ongoing masterclasses with respected practitioners, and Cert IV
qualifications in Training and Assessment and Small Business. Years spent
directing a vibrant art studio—mentoring emerging artists, curating curriculum,
and collaborating with local galleries—have shaped my understanding of art as
both calling and community. These experiences continue to inform my dual role
as artist and cultural facilitator, navigating creative risk, partnership, and
purpose with intention.
Today, my practice leans more deeply into spiritual
discernment and ecological awareness. Competitive successes in ink drawing,
watercolour seascapes, and acrylic landscapes have evolved into a broader
dialogue about stewardship, renewal, and the sacredness of material. I am
increasingly drawn to the upcycling of terracotta and glass—objects once
discarded or forgotten, found in places of decay. Through mixed media
transformation, these remnants become vessels of hope, reminding us that
restoration is possible, even in a world strained by environmental fragility
and human disconnection.
In this season, my work invites viewers into a contemplative
conversation about place, memory, and the divine wisdom needed to navigate a
crumbling world. It gestures toward the ancient truth that creation itself
groans for renewal, urging humanity to seek deeper godly insight, to
communicate with greater compassion, and to cultivate relationships that sow
long‑term
peace. Through each piece, I hope to kindle a vision of what might be restored—within the earth, within community, and within the human spirit.
