Jacob Benaroch

Jacob Benaroch

Location: Canada

Jacob’s passion for painting started early. His
father was a masterful painter, and as a boy,
Jacob played with brushes and tubes of paint.
His canvas was any surface available–and mom
became his first critic!

Finding it difficult to please his father’s critical
eye, Jacob moved away from painting. Over the
years he became world renowned for his work
in the graphic arts. Success in Israel, Paris and
Canada led to three Benjamin Franklin awards
and many more awarded designs.

Now, after 40 years, Jacob’s artistic passion is
stronger than ever. Through his art, he has again
become the boy with the brushes and paint.
What you will realize through Jacob’s art is his
raw, rare talent. He paints with a feeling and
passion that leaps off the canvas and into the
hearts of those who are privileged to enjoy his
creative works of art.

Jacob invites you to witness his art, as he returns
to painting–his first love–and rediscovers himself.

Woman’s Spirit

Since time immemorial woman was kept in the shadow of man and society. She was at the center of life, and yet far from the light.

The Woman’s Spirit collection is a celebration of the strength, beauty, sensuality and power that is, and always was, within the female spirit. Using bold colours and expressive brush strokes, I wanted to create a pictorial expression of a mythical woman that evokes and displays her power, explores whether she is oppressed by society or the corporate elite, celebrates her womanhood, and allows her to express her true self. This woman at the center of the composition is peering at the world with a look that is mysterious and enigmatic—one eye in the shadows hiding access to her soul. Life is too precious to remain unexamined. This exhibit is one more candle shining a light on the spirit of woman.

Water is the essence of life, from conception to death. Water and the essence of woman are one and the same. Life will be conceived in water. The woman will go to the well of life to draw water and sustain life. Her tears will mourn the end of life. The lotus flower is a symbol for awakening to the spiritual reality of life, it starts as a small flower down at the bottom of a pond in the mud and muck moving towards the light. Once it come to the surface of the water the lotus flower blossom and turn into a beautiful flower.
