Alicia Maury is a Puerto Rican Artist who has created beautiful and colorful paintings, drawings and ceramics sculptures. Over the past several years Maury has worked as a free-lance artist developing and perfecting her talent as an artist. She has also developed and taught Fine Arts and Artisan workshops in major universities, museums, public libraries, community agencies and institutions. My arts have been presented in varies documentaries. ,my paintings are exhibited through varies internet web sites which present a different view to the public. Finally I decided to finish my Master degree in Fine Art Education. My feelings, my heart and my whole life is in the art world. I think may paintings are romantic, simple and traditional because the colors that I use are fresh, clear and they have soft brush-strokes. I started working with Primitive Style. Then I moved to Impressionistic and Surrealistic Style.

I live and work at my studio I spend most hours working at my easel alone with my loneliness. I don’t copy nature. My interpretations are very personal remembrances You will see the clouds dancing in the sky and listening to the wind’s musical rhythm. In my painting you can find shapes, colors and moments of weather and drama. You will recognize the place even if you’ve seen it before. It could be a simple foreground detail, but the illusion is there. I attempt to express something more than a landscape. I am a nature lover and I always want to express a freedom, a feeling in my landscape compositions. You will recognize the place even if you’ve seen it before.
