Merv has been painting in watercolour since 1977,and he is an elected member of The Canadian Society of Painters In Watercolour(CSPWC). He teaches all levels of students, and instructs at workshops throughout Ontario. Merv has served frequently as a juror for art shows, and was a juror of membership for CSPWC in 2007/2008.
Watercolour is a wonderful,exciting medium; I like to express architectural and landscape subjects in a manner which stretches a representational viewpoint by means of a spontaneous, intuitive approach to my work.
It has been a privilege to have taken workshops with Frank Webb, Skip Lawrence, Alex Powers, Christopher Schink and Fred Graff
