Carrie Makenna

I make artwork to remind people of their interconnection with each other, nature and the universe.
My highly textured artwork is made by applying a thick acrylic paste to canvas and adding additional found objects to the surface, then painting with layers of a select palette of 20 acrylic colors.
The subjects I explore range from landscape, to human relationship, nature, and the universal circle.
Education: Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology and Art Therapy, The Naropa University; Bachelor of Fine Art, Colorado State University. And a lifetime of study, practice and teaching.
