Through photographic composition, she creates contemporary artwork in which abstracted images influence and transform one another. Multiple photographic sources layer until the originating elements dissolve into something entirely new. Coupling this technique with pareidolia — our tendency to find familiar forms in unexpected places — she ensures that every viewer’s experience is uniquely their own.
Allison’s background as an Art Director for Fortune 500 companies including Marriott International and Capital One has given her a deep understanding of how visual communication shapes perception, a foundation she now channels into fine art that functions as both aesthetic object and storytelling tool.
Her photographic mosaics reward viewers who slow down and look closely, revealing new details and meaning over time — each piece a platform for the viewer’s own perspective to emerge.
Since establishing Allison Inglesby Designs in 2023, her work has been exhibited internationally at juried shows such as the London Art Biennale and Bethesda Row Arts Festival, as well as curated venues including Launch Workplaces and Thos. Moser in Boston. Allison is a 2023 Maryland State Arts Council Grant Recipient.
