Gabriela Vaduva is a Romanian contemporary visual artist and the founder of AVUDAV ART.
The name AVUDAV is formed from six Romanian words that define my artistic vision: Artă (Art), Viață (Life), Univers (Universe), Dar Divin (Divine Gift), Aripi (Wings), and Viitor (Future).
With a professional background in law, she has developed a distinctive artistic practice centred on sculptural relief painting on canvas.
Working with structural paste, acrylic colour, impasto techniques and metallic accents, she creates tactile compositions in which painting and sculpture merge. Her works begin with original sketches and evolve through an intuitive process of modelling, layering and painting directly on the canvas.
Her artistic universe explores femininity, identity, strength, vulnerability and the sacred relationship between the human body and nature. Female figures, flowers, trees and symbolic elements become carriers of emotion, memory and transformation.
Selected milestones in Gabriela Vaduva’s artistic journey include appearances in the international art press and on television, national exhibitions at the Romanian Records Museum and the National Library of Romania in Bucharest, and international exhibitions and presentations in New York and Buenos Aires. In October 2026, her work will also be presented at Art Shopping, the international contemporary art fair held at Carrousel du Louvre in Paris. Through AVUDAV ART, she continues to develop her concept of Organic Femininity and expand her presence on the international art scene.
