Nicholas J Maffei is 64 years of age and grew up in the Bronx in New York City. He started out taking taking photos with a Kodak Instamatic camera back in 1975. Since then he has taken photos of whatever catches his eye. He is presently a member of the Salmagundi Art Club which is one of New York City's oldest galleries. Nicholas has done numerous solo shows including shows titled "Inner City Kids" and "For Free... A Portrait of Street Musicians".
