Born 1961 in Gdansk, Poland.
Received MA Fine Art: Painting in 1990 from Academy of Fine Arts in Gdansk, Poland. Solo exhibitions include ones at Pionova, Gdansk (2018), Academy of Fine Arts Gallery, Gdansk ("Guesthouse Belle", 2014), Poznanska Galeria Nowa, Poznan, 2003; Laznia Centre of Contemporary Art, Gdansk ("German Car, Italian Suit, Shoes from London", 2001), KulturKontakt Gastatelier, Vienna ("Lost Girls", 2000) and some other. Slawek Gora’s work has been selected for juried shows: Discerning Eye and The Lynn Painter-Stainers Prize (both at Mall Galleries, London in 2016); Ruth Borchard Self-Portrait Competition and Exhibition, Kings Place Gallery, London (2011), Jerwood Drawing Prize, Jerwood Space, London (2008); Painting of the Year 2003, Królikarnia Palace, National Museum, Warsaw and some other and were included in other group shows in the UK, Netherlands, Austria and Poland. Slawek Gora’s paintings and drawings appear in private collections in Europe and the United States, in Academy of Fine Arts Collection in Poland and has also been included in several publications. Slawek has received awards from State Ministry of Art and Culture (Poland) and Felix Meritis Foundation in Amsterdam among others.

Since 2006 had been living in the UK before moving back to Poland in 2017. Currently based in Gdynia, Poland
