Rose Masterpol is a contemporary abstract painter whose
three-decade career has been shaped by her wide-ranging creative
pursuits, from poetry and music to graphic design and photography. She
describes her art as the "language of non-objective, organic, and pure
painting," and her work often progresses in a series format.
Masterpol's
large-scale canvases, painted in either acrylic or oil, are known for
their strong lines, poetic depth, and powerful use of color. Her work is
dynamic and ever-evolving, drawing from a variety of influences ranging
from Fauvism to Expressionism. She credits painters from the New York
School, such as Pollock, de Kooning, and Kline, as a major source of
inspiration since her childhood. As a self-taught artist, she works
without limitations, allowing her raw and untainted art to constantly
progress.
Masterpol designs these new paintings digitally before
beginning the physical process on canvas. She considers this a
collaboration—"a marriage of the digital virtual world into a
two-dimensional surface world." The resulting works are an intricate
choreography of metamorphosing shapes, embodying a formal relationship
between structure, movement, tension, and form. They are, in her words, a
"ligature between contemporary art and mid-20th-century design."
Masterpol’s work is collected worldwide and is represented in galleries
across the United States.

The Geometrix Series embodies this ongoing visual engagement. Geometric and architectural forms interact dynamically in space, creating a realm to inhabit—a world of energy in constant renewal. These living forms connect, overlap, and entangle as they evolve, their lines migrating into affirmations of intertwined understanding. They declare, in visual terms, a manifesto of vital symmetry—a higher order of balance that emerges from the dialogue between harmony and tension. Through this interplay, I hope to bind our vision to a shared sense of human and spiritual synchronicity.
