Andy Taylor

Andy Taylor is a UK-based contemporary artist and founder of Art Haus, a creative hub dedicated to original paintings and commissioned works. Working primarily in acrylics on canvas, Andy explores the shifting interplay of light, atmosphere, and memory through abstract landscapes and expressive colour fields.

After a career leading global marketing strategy in the technology sector, Andy turned his focus to painting, driven by a desire to create space for clarity, creativity, and connection. His work often begins with the natural world - moors, windswept coastlines, or fleeting moments of weather - and evolves into layered, textured compositions that invite the viewer into a dialogue between chaos and calm.

Andy’s paintings are held in private collections across the UK. In addition to his studio practice, he is building Art Haus as both a gallery and community, offering collectors access to original works, limited-edition prints, and personalised commissions.

Art Haus by Andy Taylor

This collection is inspired by the shifting moods of landscape and light, capturing those fleeting moments when the natural world feels both powerful and fragile. Drawing on the textures of moors, the drama of coastal skies, and the quiet energy of hidden paths, each piece layers colour and movement to suggest atmosphere rather than depict place. The works invite viewers to pause, breathe, and connect with the sense of calm and renewal that emerges from nature’s ever-changing rhythm.

Hidden path “Hidden path”

Hidden Path draws inspiration from the quiet, almost secret tracks that weave through the countryside — places where light filters through branches and the world seems to pause. Layers of soft greens and deep earth tones create a sense of depth and mystery, while shifting highlights suggest the play of sunlight breaking through. The work reflects that moment of discovery when a path opens unexpectedly, offering both direction and a sense of calm wonder.

Copper Glow “Copper Glow”

Copper Glow captures the warmth and radiance of light as it dissolves into shadow. Rich layers of burnished copper tones are set against softer earthy hues, evoking the fleeting shimmer of dusk when the day’s last energy lingers on the horizon. The painting is both grounding and luminous, inviting reflection on the quiet beauty found in moments of transition.

Velocity “Velocity”

“Velocity” is a powerful exploration of colour, light, and motion. Bold strokes of orange and gold blaze across the canvas, cutting through the calm depths of layered blue. The contrast creates a sense of energy and acceleration, as if capturing the split second of ignition or the trail of a celestial body across the sky. Both vibrant and contemplative, this piece invites the viewer to feel the balance between chaos and stillness, force and calm.

Vortex “Vortex”

Vortex draws the viewer into a powerful spiral of colour and energy. Layers of rich, inky blues merge with flashes of orange and gold, creating a sense of dynamic motion and elemental force. This abstract work evokes both the intensity of a storm and the endless pull of the ocean, making it a striking centrepiece for any space.

Afterglow “Afterglow”

Afterglow is a striking abstract seascape that blends luminous pinks, violets, and warm magentas with cool, powerful ocean blues. The energetic brushstrokes in the lower half evoke the movement of waves, while the sky above glows with the last light of day, hinting at the transition from sunset to night. This piece combines drama and serenity, making it a captivating statement artwork for any contemporary space.
