Nishikawa Sachiko

Nishikawa Sachiko

Location: Japan

I use Japanese incense sticks and old books and old scores to draw.
I burn the pages in the books and scores and draw pictures from it.
When I watch the smoke slowly rise from the pages , I feel like a small change takes place in the atmosphere. Maybe I hope their small change affect my pictures.

This picture expressed the sorrow of the nuclear plant accident of Fukushima, Japan. I pray so that such an accident never happens.

I,m here. “I,m here.”

I prayed for this work to never have the accident such as the nuclear plant accident that happened in Fukushima, Japan and made it.

Black and Shadow “Black and Shadow”

This picture added race paper to a work exceptionally. And I burnt it by a candle boldly. It is an instant that fire flares up and is dangerous, but thinks that there was the effect that I only did. The cat that a result seemed to be slightly big was completed.

A horse gallops “A horse gallops”

The Japanese sexagenary cycle is a horse this year.
The figure that a horse gallops is beautiful.

Time for meal “Time for meal”

The black cat comes back from a walk, too and is the time for meal.

By burning Japanese incense stick in note
which has passed more then 100 years,
I drew a large flowered rose pink.

The pink roses fill the gap of the heart.

Kindly cheer up “Kindly cheer up”

When the person who watched it was cheered up kindly, I created it with a wish.

Like the bubble “Like the bubble”

With the delicate feeling such as the bubble

Bat “Bat”

In this picture, bats talk lightly.
