Biography and Statement
As a seasoned multidisciplinary artist based
in regional Australia, I bring over a decade of sustained creative inquiry to
my practice. My studio operates at the intersection of traditional and
contemporary modalities—acrylic, oil, ink pen, watercolour, gouache, and
digital media converge with experimental 3D processes in paper, air-dry clay,
and plaster to form immersive wall sculptures. This fluid engagement with
material reflects an intuitive methodology: each medium is selected to amplify
the conceptual underpinnings of subject matter, from the emotive sweep of a
coastal seascape to the quiet resonance of line and form.
My professional trajectory is underpinned by a
Diploma of Visual Arts and ongoing masterclasses with acclaimed practitioners,
complemented by Cert IV qualifications in Training and Assessment and Small
Business. Over several years I led a thriving art studio—curating curriculum,
mentoring budding artists, and forging partnerships with local galleries and
arts organizations. This entrepreneurial and pedagogical foundation informs my
dual role as creator and cultural facilitator, navigating grant cycles, and
collaborative exhibitions with both precision and creative risk-taking.
Now fully committed to advancing my own
artistic vision, I have translated competitive successes in ink drawing, watercolour
seascapes, and acrylic landscapes into a strategic curatorial dialogue. My work
has been featured in regional shows, and curated gallery exhibitions, engaging
collectors and public audiences through dynamic digital portfolios. Driven by
conceptual rigor and a passion for cross-disciplinary exchange, my current
focus explores material sustainability and the experiential potential of mixed
media—inviting viewers into a participatory conversation about place, memory,
and the evolving role of art in contemporary society.
