In the depths of the COVID-19 pandemic, I turned to art as a lifeline. Facing isolation and anxiety, I committed to a simple ritual: painting for 10 minutes every day. Over the course of a year this daily practice blossomed into Art is Life, a series of 365 abstract paintings born from my journey of healing
Each artwork became a visual diary entry – a tangible memory of what I felt in that moment – capturing raw emotions from despair to hope
Creating art in this way became my therapy: a wordless outlet for pain, resilience, and growth. The act of laying down color and form day after day helped me process grief and stress, including the lingering trauma of losing loved ones. Guided by the spirit of my late grandfather (himself an artist), I learned to transform hardship into creative fuel.
Art is Life affirmed my belief that art can be a profound catalyst for recovery – each small daily act of creation was a step out of darkness, toward resilience and renewal.
