I am a mixed media artist, layering together images, designs, and fantasy.  My artworks are hyper-realistic food sculptures and paintings with collage, My work is whimsical, colorful, and full of realistic details.  I use additive and reductive processes in creating my work, removing or embellishing images to find the real, hidden story underneath. I create fully integrated, harmonious artwork that is exciting, bursting with energy and life.

A signature aspect of my work is the unique method of building my paintings into 3 dimensional works with added texture and depth. I have invented my own special techniques to create realistic foods from foam board, paper, paint, glue, cardboard, fabric, and resin.   I often use a pastry bag to apply extruded paint details to my work.   I apply resin to my artwork, appreciating how it gives the work a flawless, glass-like finish. My bold, mixed media artworks engage process, form, and narrative equally.
