Born in North Western Australia, Artist and children's book Illustrator Michelle Pike draws on her childhood experiences within outback Australia to depict a true sense of Australian spirit within her paintings.

Known for her raw use and mix of primary colours, Michelle not only captures the vibrancy of the Australian outback, but the stories portrayed within her pieces also pay homage to the great Australian sense of humour and ability to withstand hardship in the most gruelling of times.

Her love of Australian fauna has dictated her anthropomorphic style applied to her works and has understandably attracted the attention of numerous book publishing companies and animation companies alike.
