“The Mask”

The Mask is my first painting — an abstract piece born through instinctive layering rather than pre-planned design. I never know exactly what I'm creating until the final form emerges, which gives my work a kind of mystical evolution. This piece explores the idea of the social masks we wear — and the process of unlocking or shedding that false identity to reveal something truer underneath.

It took about a month to complete, and although the original has now been burned — part of a ritual I undertook to release my first body of work — the image remains. For me, the future of my art exists only as memory and documentation, not as physical object. I chose to share The Mask here to honor its message: that identity is both a performance and a process of uncovering.
