Arkady Paransky

Location: Bulgaria

Born in Moscow, Russia, in 1951.

Arkady
changed schools during his obligatory education years and studied in
three secondary schools. He also attended music classes and played the
violin. He took part in music groups where he played different
instruments. Arkady also went in for various kinds of sport.

After
graduating from the secondary school he entered the Institute of
Petrochemical and Gas Industry, the Geological Department.

Memories of the studies are to be found in the book "The Graduates of Alma Mater", released on the 70th anniversary of the institute.

 In 1974 he graduated with a degree in geophysics and the same year left for Yamal to work there.

Arkady
participated in discovery and further development of large gas fields,
such as Medvezhie, Urengoiskoe, Yamburgskoe, Bovanenkovskoe and many
others.

Later
he went on an expedition at the Institute of Nuclear Geophysics, where
the focus of most works was: the use of Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR)
when searching for oil and gas fields. He was one of the leading
experts and developers of information measuring systems NMR in this
area. A number of scientific papers are written on this subject.

In
the early 80s Arkady was a postgraduate student of the Institute of
Nuclear Geophysics and at the Department of Radio Electronics
Correspondence Polytechnic Institute. At the same time he conducted
seminars on painting with amateur artists on the basis of National
University of Arts Correspondence.

Meanwhile
Arkady was travelling extensively and covered nearly half the country.
He also worked in the North and Central Asia, the Caucasus, Evenkia etc.

In
1990 he left the geophysics and devoted himself entirely to fine arts
and painting which started in 1970. He participated in numerous
exhibitions in his motherland and abroad. Arkady is a member of the
International Art Fund. His works are in Russia, England, Georgia,
Israel, New Zealand, the USA, France, Sweden, Japan and some other
countries;

in
private collections of Margaret Thatcher (British Prime Minister, 1979 -
1990) and Yitzhak Rabin (Israeli Prime Minister, 1974-1977, 1993-1994)

Arkady
exhibited widely, including the exhibition in the Office of President
of the Russian Federation, in the Central House of Artists, in the
Exhibition Hall "Manege" and others.

He
also participated in the design of many institutions in Moscow, such as
Chamber Music Theatre named after B.A.Pokrovsky, Administration Canal
Moscow, Auto Bank and others.

Currently
Arkady is engaged in painting, restoring paintings and iconography,
consulting in Russian art and working with students.

Since
May 2011, began his started writing. Since then he has written two
novels, over 30 short stories, nonfiction articles and about 1500 poems.
The latest major work is the translation of sonnets by Shakespeare
(June-December 2014)
