Carol Hartsock

“I am a painter. I am about people. I am about the environment. I am about positive change.

My abstract paintings are primarily about our environment and its preservation. It’s not too late to save this planet.

The abstracts are driven by what I see occurring around us. There is hardly an environmental or climate issue that does not trigger a strong emotional reaction in me. The expression of these reactions is the inspiration for my current work. My overall mission is to create awareness of the issues and engender HOPE.

My portraits are about cultural diversity and the need to work with, rather than against, our differences.

I work with the hope that I can spark change. If my work does so, I am grateful.”

Portfolio:

HOPE / TIPPING POINT

I have been fortunate to live and travel globally and to experience a broad spectrum of our planet's environments.

I have seen the breadth and beauty of our natural inheritance; our dependence on that natural environment; the growing fragility of that environment; and the pressure being exerted on it by our exponential growth in population.

In this portfolio, my hope is to enlist and encourage art and artists to rally in support of environmental issues.

As a community, we must increase awareness and take ACTION now to implement the regeneration of the planet. We need to bequeath our children a viable future.

NOTE: Works are a mix of Interference Acrylics and Alkyd Oils on textured Gesso applied on Panels and ArtBoard Paper.
