Nace en Montevideo y a los 25 años instala su residencia en Buenos Aires. Desde pequeña descubre una conexión innata con la pintura. Asiste a talleres de Bellas Artes y música. Estudia historia del arte y viaja con frecuencia tomar contacto con las obras clásicas, grandes maestros y corrientes contemporáneas. En Bs. As. integra el Grupo de Artes Plásticas Acassuso y es alumna de maestros como Jorge Lopez Anaya y Luis Felipe Noe. Comienza a exponer en los '80, hace un alto de 12 años en los 90 mientras es Gestora Cultural de su Embajada en la Argentina, retomando en este siglo. Ha participado en más de 100 muestras entre individuales y colectivas presenciales en San Isidro, V. Lopez, San Fernando, Tigre, CABA, Pergamino, Cordoba, Colonia, Montevideo, P. del Este y EEUU, y virtuales en Medellin, New York, París y Qatar.
Biography:
Pilar Debitonto was born in Montevideo and moved to Buenos Aires at the age of 25. From a young age, she discovered an innate connection with painting. She attended fine arts and music workshops, studied art history, and traveled frequently to engage with classical works, great masters, and contemporary movements. In Buenos Aires, she joined the Acassuso Visual Arts Group and studied under renowned teachers such as Jorge López Anaya and Luis Felipe Noé. She began exhibiting in the 1980s but took a 12-year break during the 1990s while serving as a Cultural Manager at her country's embassy in Argentina, resuming her artistic career in the current century. She has participated in over 100 exhibitions—both solo and group—held in-person in San Isidro, Vicente López, San Fernando, Tigre, Buenos Aires, Pergamino, Córdoba, Colonia, Montevideo, Punta del Este, and the United States, and virtually in Medellín, New York, Paris, and Qatar.
