Carina is from Argentina. She is a self-taught visual artist. While she dedicated a large part of her life to her profession as an Accountant, her interest in art has always been present.
In 2010, she began to specialize through various courses and workshops, successfully combining drawing and abstraction in her works, her two passions.
In 2019, her solo exhibition "Mimesis" showcased her artistic journey, featuring a series of abstract paintings inviting us to perceive them through the act of looking.
Her inspiration comes from female figures hidden within her strokes and brushstrokes, blending and camouflaging with the background. When discovered, they come to life and express different emotions depending on the viewer.
Her work has been presented in numerous exhibitions, salons, and galleries both nationally and internationally.
MIMESIS is a series of works that depict images of real figures, which, during the creative process, become lost, blending into the background and acquiring a new and personal meaning.
To look is to awaken the impulse that runs through an emotion, the stimulus that emerges from the depths of one's essence.
Corporality merges with the brushstroke, coming to life through the most real and pure experience of contact with the artwork
Abstraction suggests but does not reveal; it conceives of other discourses, enriching the existence and interpretation of the image.
There are no innocent eyes when reality is recreated through illusion.
