Sanja Chulakovska is a contemporary abstract artist, Professor of Fine Arts, and former museum conservator-restorer based in Sarasota, Florida. With more than 25 years of experience in fine arts, museum practice, cultural heritage, and exhibitions in the United States and Europe, her work explores the relationship between movement and stillness, matter and light, presence and absence.

Her paintings are characterized by gestural abstraction, transparent layers, atmospheric fields, expressive color, and a strong sense of spatial tension. Chulakovska’s work has been presented in exhibitions and cultural projects in New York, Miami, Sarasota, Orlando, Michigan, and North Macedonia. Her current series, Between Matter and Light, continues her exploration of the threshold between physical material and emotional perception.
