Wilderness & Underwater Photography & Posters

I do backpacking, backcountry skiing, scuba diving, and hiking trips to some of the most beautiful and pristine wilderness areas in North America, Central America, and Europe. My large format panorama photographs are composites of 12 to 30 individual images. I also create graphic art posters from these photographic images. Each poster tells a short, succinct story about a trail or location.

Ski Purcell Mountains “Ski Purcell Mountains”

The Purcell Mountains in British Columbia, Canada are a fantastic place for extended backcountry skiing and photography.

Wild America “Wild America”

This is one of my "Wild America" series of posters which contains ten panorama images from my numerous wilderness trips. This is a very large 48x96 inch poster.

Indian Bar “Indian Bar”

This was shot near "Indian Bar" one of the designated campsites while doing a backpacking trip on the Wonderland Trail which circumnavigates Mt. Rainier in Mt. Rainier National Park in Washington. This is a spectacular but physically difficult trip of about 93 miles and 23,000 feet of elevation gain and loss.

Wee Beasties “Wee Beasties”

A collage of three underwater macro photographs of small reef animals: a sea anemone at the top, feeding star coral polyps at night in the middle, and on the bottom, feeding brain coral polyps at night. Night dives are spectacular!

Toil, Toil, Sweat, & Boil “Toil, Toil, Sweat, & Boil”

The gorgeous West Rim Trail snakes, writhes, and slithers its way up through Walters Wiggles, and then heads up to Angels Landing. For any Angels view of almost everything Zion. Best Dayhike Ever! You get to wrestle chains on the way up and down. My funny caption for this image is "Toil, Toil, Sweat, & Boil"! Not for the height squeamish.
