Dawn at Kawarthas “ Dawn at Kawarthas”

Medium: Oil on 20"x16" mounted canvas
Description: Dawn at Kawarthas captures the serene and mystical ambiance of an early morning at Kawartha Lakes, Ontario. A luminous moon—mistaken for the sun at first glance—softly reflects off still waters, blurring the boundary between sky and lake. Wisps of trees and a rustic silhouette in the foreground offer grounding contrast to the dreamlike expanse. Walter blends subtle textures and layered hues of blue and grey to evoke stillness, solitude, and introspective calm. This atmospheric piece invites viewers to pause and breathe in the quiet beauty of a world just beginning to stir.
