Walter Fernandes in the art world:
Walter Fernandes is a self-taught artist who discovered his
passion for painting after being diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 2016.
His journey into art began as a form of therapy, and he has since become a
prolific painter, creating hundreds of works that reflect his resilience and
creativity. His paintings often feature tranquil landscapes and vibrant colors,
embodying his determination to find joy and purpose through art. Some of his best works were showcased at the Ontario Shores
Art Gallery, where he was named Artist of the Month (January 2025). His collection of oil
paintings is also available on his website, where he sells his artwork to promote Art Therapy and to
support Canadian charities including Parkinson’s Canada. You can explore more of his work here. www.PaintingWithParkinson.com

Artist captures the essence of movement and sophistication in "Elegant Strides" This oil painting on 12"x18" card paper portrays three figures in flowing attire, their forms melting into abstraction. The bold strokes and earthy tones convey a sense of timeless grace, leaving the viewer with a narrative open to interpretation—perhaps a fleeting moment of high society or a nostalgic dance of the past
