Harsha Wijesooriya (b. 1979) is an artist highly skilled in experimentation, holding an MFA and a BFA from the Universities of Kelaniya and Visual and Performing Arts. His practice prominently features figurative art, encompassing both traditional and contemporary visual arts techniques across various mediums. Conscious of and sensitive to the complexities of contemporary life, Wijesooriya’s work serves as a powerful mirror to society. Motivated by the nature of existence, he strives to build fictional narratives and act as a dream maker by exploring the similarities, differences, and seemingly random connectivity that govern human experience.
