Lisa Botto Lee

New Jersey-born, Lisa Botto Lee is an American representational artist currently living in South Florida. Lee is known for her narrative paintings and highly detailed drawings. Recognized for portraiture, figurative and wildlife art, she has achieved a distinct style of realism with the element of storytelling. Her mediums are oil, charcoal and graphite.

Lee was born into a family of artists and is the fifth generation which traces its roots back to mural painters in Northern Italy. Her earliest artistic influence came from her father Richard A. Botto, an equine artist, and her mother Marguerite, a former art teacher and floral watercolorist. The artistic impact of her family, formal art training, extensive travels throughout the US and abroad greatly influenced Lee’s style and subject matter. Lee credits her parents for conveying to her this wonderful passion of art.

She has received numerous awards in regional, national and international competitions. Lee has exhibited most notably with Allied Artists of America NYC; The Salmagundi Club NYC; Catharine Lorillard Wolfe Art Club NYC; The National Arts Club Gramercy Park NYC; 33 Contemporary Gallery 'Shelter' Virtual Exhibition on Artsy; The Biennial National Exhibition in the Historic Punta Gorda FL; Gateway International; Galeria Artelibre “Your Best painting” 2020 Virtual Exhibition and Volume II Edition; Artsy Shark and Manhattan Arts International.
You will find Botto Lee’s paintings and drawings in many private collections including those of music and sports legends such as late Hall of Fame Miami Dolphins coach Don Shula, Frank Pellegrino Sr. (The late owner of Rao’s Restaurant in New York’s East Harlem and “Sopranos” star), and Udonis Haslem (Basketball player of the Miami Heat) — to name a few.
Additionally, her work has been exhibited in Star Island on Miami Beach, International Film Festival in Fort Lauderdale, The Versace Mansion and The Steinway Hall in Miami.
