Paula Marie Deubel has been a student of fine art since childhood (the former East Detroit School of Fine Art), continuing to study under local private teachers for another ten years and, later, at the Atelier School of Art in Metro Detroit, Michigan. She has had decades of study and favors oil paint and acrylics in the genre of Realism and Imaginary Realism. She has won many awards in the USA and abroad, exhibits regularly, and has had her work published. Her work captures both beauty and darkness through metaphors depicting emotional experiences.
