Art oriented from a young age. Signwriting with a trade qualification after army and Art matric. In the years before computer signage, l worked on ship signage, book illustration for Durban university adult learning program, airbrushed billboard graphics, general signage and murals.
Artwork from 2012 to date. Includes pencil. Charcoal and graphite drawings. Also oil paintings and monoprints. There are watercolour paintings coming soon. I find the monoprints to be very interesting and inspirational. After many attempts to define them over the years, this is how l describe them now. Image capture using oils in a flow medium on glass. Part managed, part accidental and part mysterious. Can l sign them? I think so. Useful source of ideas.
Actual image size is close to 3 inches by 2 inches. These may work as prints enlarged to A4 or A3. Due to the accidental element in creating these image captures, l hesitate to present them as true fine art. But they are a close friend. I find them useful.
Image capture using oils in flow medium on glass. Monoprint.

Pencil on textured paper. Referenced from 3 different images. Photo deliberately taken in dim early morning light.
Image inspired by 1920's flapper. Features changed, hairstyle changed including elements of her dress.
Pastel on paper dusted with cement and then spray fixed.
