*Munze Bio | 100 words*
Kateeba Joel (Munze) is a Ugandan contemporary visual artist, born 22/02/1992. He specializes in acrylic on recycled canvases and public mural work, using art to spark dialogue on street walls across Kampala. Raised in a crowded Kampala suburb as one of seven siblings, financial limits pushed him to teach himself. He worked to fund his education and now creates on commission for companies, hotels, schools, and theaters, both locally and internationally.
His practice links inner voice with collective themes of nature and humanity. Munze holds a 2025 Global Arts in Medicine Fellowship and certificates from Makerere University, South Sudanese refugee projects, and Wanja collaborative work.
