Tricia Skoglund

I currently live with my Husband of 44 years in San Diego, California. Prior to living in San Diego we lived in Salem, Oregon for over 30 years. While in Oregon I raised our family and at the same time created and sold my art at a large number of shows and venues.
For the past 1 years I have been dividing my time between Oregon and California and have been busy creating my original pieces of art and experimenting with new techniques.

• Studied Oil Painting starting at the early age of 11, from Joyce Clark in Laguna Beach, Ca.
• Graduated from San Dieguito High School with an Art Scholarship Encinitas, Ca.
• Graduated Graphic Design/ Visual Communications from Chemeketa College Salem, Ore.
• Studied Art from Claire-lise Matthey Anderegg at the Oceanside Museum of Art. Oceanside, Ca. 2005 – 2008
• Studied Art from Kate Ashton at the San Diego Art Department. San Diego, Ca.

The paintings in this portfolio are each painted with acrylics, graphite pencils, mixed media, on torch-cut steel, curved and mounted on a wood frame, attached with large bolts.
Each painting is constructed by hand and has a base of lots of different textures to make a one-of-a-kind start. Sometimes papers are added with nails, bolts,pop rivets, found objects, then many layers of acrylic paints.
