Houston-born, self-taught mixed-media artist Ray Hadaway creates contemporary folk expressionism, contemporary folk fusion, and folk modern fusion with bold Fauvist color, abstract cowboy and cowgirl portraits, western art, ranching scenes, longhorns, herds, jackrabbits, rural Americana, Texas landscapes, mesas, and the reimagined West. Working from studios in Round Top, Fredericksburg, and Marfa, Texas, this contemporary American artist makes original handmade acrylic and mixed-media artworks with thick textures, vibrant color, light-hearted energy, and a distinct Texas twist.
