Christine Klosse is a visual artist from Nijmegen, the Netherlands. She tries to capture with her hands what touches us deeply. Her love for the craft began at a young age, when she saw how her mother brought a child's face to life from a shapeless lump of clay. That fascination never left her. Under the guidance of masters Guido Sprenkels, Lothar Vigelandzoon, and bronze caster Hans Steylaart, she learned the technical intricacies of the trade. “Bronze is my way of freezing precious, fleeting moments for eternity. In my sculptures, I always look for character, soul, and connection; from the pure innocence of a child and the compassion of an older man, to the intimacy of the loss of a baby.”
