Adel Hadri, a Lebanese painter based in Beirut, combines abstraction and Arabic calligraphy, inspired by the facades, textures, and diverse history of the old city. His paintings blend architectural impressions with writing, creating rhythmic surfaces that evoke cultural memory and urban transformation. Hadri regularly exhibits his work in Lebanon and online, reflecting a dialogue between heritage and contemporary abstraction, celebrating Beirut's resilience and evolving identity.
Born in Lebanon in 1972, he practiced Arabic calligraphy (classical Arabic calligraphy) and artistic designs for over twenty-five years until 2019. He then transitioned to modern visual art, a unique experience in translating Arabic calligraphy into abstract paintings.
He mimics calligraphy and ancient modern architecture, telling the story of civilization.
He mimics contemporary artistic styles through color and form, up until the present day in 2025.
