Yulia Altas is a Russian-born, US-based multidisciplinary artist whose practice spans watercolor, acrylic, oil, ink and graphic techniques, mixed media, digital painting, and AI-assisted creativity. Her visual language merges fluid abstraction with symbolic, atmospheric imagery, creating meditative environments where emotion, intuition, and form converge.
Yulia’s work has been exhibited internationally in highly prestigious venues. In 2014, she was selected to exhibit at La Grande Exposition Universelle inside the Eiffel Tower’s “Gustave Eiffel” Hall and in the Louvre district in Paris. Her art was featured in prominent New York galleries, including Caelum Gallery, Spanish Benevolent Society Gallery, Elena AB Gallery in Tribeca, Chelsea Eye Gallery, and the year-long contemporary exhibitions at Montserrat Gallery in Chelsea.
She was selected for the International Biennale Artists Exhibition Miami (IBAEM) at Miami Iron Side, produced by The Art Marketing Mind. In 2014, her work appeared on a 25-story video billboard in Times Square for the “SeeMe Take Over Times Square” exhibition. In 2015, she exhibited at the International Biennale of Art of Palermo (Palazzo Sant’Elia, Museo Reale Albergo delle Povere) and later in Florence at Casa di Dante Alighieri, curated with participation of notable art critics Vittorio Sgarbi, Philippe Daverio, and Paolo Levi. That same year her artworks were shown in Tokyo Gallery NIW, Japan.
Yulia is a recipient of numerous international honors, including awards named after Raffaello Sanzio, Rubens, Botticelli, Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, Marco Polo, Galileo Galilei, Beato Angelico, and Oscar dell’Arte, among many others. Her art appears in international catalogs, juried selections, and publications across Europe, Asia, and the United States.
Her creative philosophy — “Intellect of Brush and Code” — reflects her exploration of the evolving dialogue between traditional artistic mastery and the expanded possibilities of contemporary digital and AI-driven creation.
