Born in Agra, I have lived in India and Nigeria and I am currently based in London. The experience of such diverse places and cultures informs my work. The process of painting is a vehicle for recalling and reflecting on experiences about presence and absence. Fragments of everyday life are overlaid with shadows and ambiguities, moods and atmospheres. Ordinary and familiar things stared at long enough become muses ... prompts for delight or doubt ... and brush on canvas conjures up a parallel reality. I previously studied accounting and law, and in the past 14 years developed a studio painting practice.

My academic qualifications before Art:

Bachelor of Commerce from GND university 1991

Part qualiOied Chartered Accountant ( institute of chartered accountants of India)
Worked as Assistant company secretary at LWS knitwear Ltd, Ludhiana.
LLB (Bachelor of Legal Laws) from Westminster university, London 2001
