Light changes what we see. Darkness changes how we perceive it. The Glow in the Dark series explores the idea that a single image can hold more than one reality.
Each painting begins as a traditional oil painting on canvas, inspired by nature, landscapes, and the quiet atmosphere of the natural world. As daylight fades, however, a second visual narrative gradually emerges. Without altering the original composition, the artwork reveals hidden luminous elements that transform the viewer's perception and invite a completely different emotional experience.
Rather than functioning as a visual effect, the luminous layer represents the unseen dimension of the painting—memory, atmosphere, and the silent presence that exists beyond what is immediately visible.
This series was born from a desire to challenge conventional expectations of painting and to create works that continue to evolve after the lights are turned off. It encourages viewers to return to the same artwork under different conditions and discover that perception itself is never fixed.
The Glow in the Dark series is an exploration of duality—day and night, visible and invisible, familiarity and discovery. It invites the audience to slow down, look again, and experience how a single painting can reveal more than one truth.
