“Chronoflux” is a coined word from Greek *chronos* (time) and Latin *flux* (flow). Across fields such as physics, biology, and psychology, it can refer to how time feels to us—often not uniformly. In cognitive experience, time may feel to “fly” in active moments and “creep” during idle waiting. Over the last century, Einstein’s relativity reshaped ideas about time and influenced 20th‑century art. Futurists and cubists tried to depict time through overlapping forms and simultaneity, while surrealists—drawn to psychoanalytic ideas and dream logic—explored temporal experience in new ways. Salvador Dalí’s *The Persistence of Memory* (1931), with its melting clocks, remains a well-known symbol of time as fluid rather than fixed.

The Chronoflux Art Project explores artists working with themes of the flow of time and the cosmos.

Its first exhibition and catalog, 'Chronoflux: Personal Tides, Cosmic Currents', presented time as a personal flow connected to the wider universe. Held in the Hey Joe Bodrum gallery space from June 16–27, 2026, it featured works by Ceren Şenkırcı, Demet Can, Gülay İnceoğlu, and Melishan Devrim, including 14 pieces across diverse media: oil on canvas, acrylic and collage on paper, linocut, and fabric on canvas.
