Nature is my main source of inspiration: the beautiful colors, the light, the rhythm in the alternation of light and shadow. Sometimes also a piece of music, a poem or a metaphor inspires me.
My rather minimalist paintings are often done in shades of blue and blue-green and evoke impressions of landscape, of sky, of water, but they don't depict a concrete landscape.In the painings of this portfolio I create an abstract from landscape by playing with inclined lines and areas and thus slightly unsettling the viewer without the painting ever becoming unbalanced.
People are fascinated by the width and depth in my paintings, the soft transitions and the color gradients. They take a lot of time to look at them and relax. It makes resonate something within them. That's my intention.
