DENSE PLUMAGE

posted by Lynne Forrester

Cuddling up and blooming simultaneously, just like they did when they were budding. Not so much space now for their dense plumage, but they make room just the same. Seeking the comfort of the other is where these gorgeous flowers feel happiest.

ON THE ROAD TO FIRENZE

posted by Judith Lungen

That's the name of my second blog on the Patheos.com website. New to the world of blogging, I'm using both my original artwork and public domain images to enhance my THE COMMONALITY OF HUMANITY, AN ARTIST'S JOURNEY writings. The first digital painting I posted on my blog is entitled BREAD & WINE, THE EUCHARIST. It's a great example of the commonality of man's passion for experiencing the Divine. Two of the most popular and familiar Hebraic prayers are for bread and wine, the two gifts of the Eucharist. Seeking and searching, turning this way and that. Each tilting those cheery petals to the sunlight, opening and brightening in the warm glow.

DANCING CHARMS

Darkly weaving their magic amongst foliage that light flickers at will, hiding those flowery jewels in their midst. To catch sight of them and hold that vision true, is to be in the presence of the elusive dancing charms.
