When I walk out onto the pier I can hear the ocean crashing on the bottom and sometimes over the edge, as I walk the power of this brings to mind the almighty force the ocean has and how it can easily wash all this away, and of my own mortality. When my thoughts get to heavy I go to the ocean and envision this power washing away my worries.. I did this painting as that reminder.

This piece was inspired by a spring snowstorm that gave me the day off of work and a whole day in my studio. I already had the fabric pieces selected and the unexpected day off allowed my creativity to flow.
