PAINTINGS BY CLAUDIA PENRROZ

posted by Claudia Penrroz

Claudia Penrroz 1965, Los Ángeles/ Chile. Her work is characterized by using various different techniques such as acrylic, collage, paper and other materials to achieve certain textures, painted on canvas and wood. She has experimented with some wood cuts and sculpture. Her work is focused on the human figure, using graphic lines or sketches as a symbol rather than a faithful representation of man or woman, seeking the simplicity of the drawing, of elements, and expressing herself through color seeking the energetic gesture, purity, and the synthesis of forms intending to portray the essence of the human being. She has exhibited her paintings in Guatemala, Hong Kong, China, Vietnam, and Chile. Artist represented by Montecatini.cl, Art Gallery
