Eagerness to experiment, discovering instinct, curiosity, handicraft skills and abundance of enthusiasm: if you have them, then you just need some brushes and colors and you will be able to paint.
The foundation of my own creativity was laid very early in my life. I started by designing and realizing doll clothes, passion that later evolved in teenager, adult and children fashion. Followed making pottery and modelling sculptures. When I came across the book “Everybody can paint” I was just thrilled. Without hesitation and second thoughts I began to paint.
At the beginning this “artwork” meant a lot, really a lot of work and I was impatient. Unfortunately an art school was out of the question. To acquire the necessary knowledge and improve as quickly as possible, I attended painting seminars and studied many books. Thanks to a few excellent teachers that provided varied and solid technical basis I am today well in my painting carrier.
Of course I also benefit from my 10 years figurative forming with tone. The only difference is that I now create thanks to brushes and colours instead of tone – and without getting my hands dirty…
Since I practically am an autodidact, I enjoy complete freedom of creativity. I can paint like and what I wish. I enjoy the constant change. One can count on my work being always different. It is very important to me not to belong or to be trapped in a specific genre. I still have plenty of ideas that wait to be painted.
